The Apex Float is a new (r)evolution of the Orca 3.8.
The new Apex Float triathlon wetsuit is the most buoyant wetsuit in the Orca range. This wetsuit incorporates specific technologies for maximum buoyancy and correction of technique, helping swimmers who need support to maintain a hydrodynamic position in open water. It also incorporates highly elastic materials in the upper body, allowing for unrestricted swim strokes.
BONUS With your purchase of this wetsuit, you will get a waterproof Mesh Backpack as a gift, perfect for carrying your wetsuit and swimming gear.

Characteristics
MAXIMUM BUOYANCY
Whether you need to conserve energy or you're looking for extra support to help you maintain a proper body position in the water, the Apex Float is for you. The specific technologies included in this wetsuit maximize its buoyancy which helps correct your posture and swimming technique so that you can perform at your best.
MAXIMUM ELASTICITY
The Apex Float wetsuit features materials like the Yamamoto 40 and the High Elbow Panel in the shoulder, arm, and back areas, resulting in a high level of elasticity in the upper body.
THERMAL INSULATION
Thanks to the 3 mm thick material in the torso and 5 mm thick material in the legs, this wetsuit will protect you from low temperatures in the ocean during the swimming segment of your triathlons.
NEUTRAL BUOYANCY
The distribution of materials of different thickness and its pattern give this wetsuit a neutral buoyancy. This keeps your body elevated in the water, so you can swim freely and maintain your technique at all times.

Care instructions for longer durability
CLEANING
Neoprene can be damaged by excess salt or other chemicals such as chlorine if used in swimming pools. We recommend washing your wetsuit with plenty of water after use. A small amount of neutral pH soap can be used and then rinsed out afterwards.
Once clean, be sure to prevent it from holding on to too much moisture. Air dry it outside or in a ventilated indoor space, somewhere without direct exposure to sunlight as this can damage its materials.
STORAGE
Storing your wetsuit properly keeps the materials and seams from creasing and being strained for long periods of time. It also prevents the material from wrinkling, which can affect both the wetsuit's durability and appearance.
The best way to store a wetsuit is to hang it draped from its waist, so that the most delicate areas such as the shoulders and arms do not have any tension on them.
For wetsuits with very flexible shoulders, (Apex Flex or Apex Flow) it is important not to place them on a hanger from the shoulder area, as this will degrade the elasticity over time. For the rest of the models, a wide hanger can be used, as long as the wetsuit is not strained in the shoulder or neck area.
SOME RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
1) Avoid contact between the velcro and the lining of your wetsuit as this will affect the material’s sensitive fibers. Keep the velcro covered with the provided fabric patch or make sure the velcro is fastened, so that the rough part of the velcro won’t damage the inside of the wetsuit.
2) Be careful not to damage the neoprene material with your fingernails while putting on or taking off your wetsuit, as this type of damage is not covered by our warranty policy.
3) Triathlon and open water wetsuits have been designed specifically for surface swimming. We can't guarantee correct performance of the wetsuits for other activities. Any damage to the wetsuit resulting from activities other than surface swimming is not covered by our warranty policy.
4) Avoid scraping your wetsuit against any surface (especially rough surfaces), never lean on any surface with your wetsuit on.
ORCA Wetsuit Sizes
Different wetsuits have different fits.
Thanks to the high elasticity of the materials, the more flexible wetsuits adapt better to the swimmer’s body than those with less elasticity.
If you’re choosing a wetsuit with less flexibility, you should select a size that fits well to your body.
To learn more about wetsuit sizing read more on how your wetsuit should fit you.
One piece wetsuits
When selecting the ideal wetsuit size, three measurements should be taken into account: chest circumference, height and weight. When in doubt, we recommend choosing the size that best fits your chest circumference, since it is important that the wetsuit is well- fitted in this area.
Women
Freedive wetsuits: This garment is made of compressive fabric. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.
*MW and LW sizing: This sizing is only available for the Openwater Vitalis TRN Women wetsuit.
Men
Freedive wetsuits: This garment is made of compressive fabric. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.
Kids
For children’s sizing, the measurements we will look at are the chest circumference, waist, hips and height. When in doubt, go by the chest circumference in this case as well.
Two piece wetsuits
To determine the ideal size of a two-piece wetsuit, four measurements should be taken into account: chest circumference, waist, height and weight.
Tops
The chest circumference, height and weight help to figure out which size top will fit best. When in doubt, the chest circumference should be the most closely fitted.
